Nis,

I always preach to stay as close in to Austin as is affordable. I personally like South Austin. The appreciation stats which you can view in the 2006 Sales MArket Summary in this blog validate why those areas were good picks for 2006.

Investing is never a bad idea in and of itself, but it's not a good idea for all people. I wouldn't be helping as many investors as we do, nor would I be buying property myself if I thought it were a bad idea.

So Steve, if someone were really interested in investment property in Austin, what areas would you recommend? Do you think buying investment property anywhere in Austin or Central Texas is a bad idea?
